Neil Spencer Bruce is a guitarist, composer, sound designer, photographer and film-maker. Throughout his varied career Neil has bridged the gap between creativity and technology, and as such he is in continual demand for his skills and ability to make things happen.

Neil has numerous qualifications, including an MSc in Multimedia Signal Processing, Dip (Mus) in Music , B.Eng (Hons) in Electroacoustics and Diploma in Media Composition, as well as studying Orchestration through a Steve Vai Scholarship at Berklee College on-line. Neil was recently involved as a researcher on the Positive Soundscape Project at the University of Salford, and is currently writing his PhD thesis on, “the effects of expectation on the perception of soundscapes”He is also on the board of the UK and Ireland Soundscape committee (UKISC)

Neil has also worked in the IT and Digital Marketing fields, with some of the largest companies and corporations in the world, as a developer, project manager and content producer.

Neil has been playing guitar for the 26 years and can never be found too far away from a guitar! His playing has been referred to by some as Cinematic Guitar. Although having played in a number of different working bands over the years, Neil has a wide range of experience and song knowledge and is available to fill in (and fit in) to a wide range of bands, primarily in the rock, metal, blues, disco, funk, soul genres. If you need someone to fill in at short notice, please get in touch. He is available for session work, dep work, gigging or tours.
