Giant Insect World has teamed up with sound artist, Neil Spencer Bruce to evoke the sounds of the forest as part of the 'Inside the wood ant nest' experience

Wood ants ( Formica Lugubris) are very quiet. Even if you go right next to their nest, you will still only hear the forest around you.

Make the forest come alive by playing sounds of the birds and insects who keep the wood ants company.

How to play:

• Select different sounds on the webpage and turn up the volume on your phone

• Move around the space

• It works best if several people play different sounds at once
